Next week we’ll be at Railtex demonstrating our range of copper and fibre cable and connectivity products for the rail industry. As well as products suitable for overground rail, we also have a number of LU1-085 compliant cables suitable for London Underground installation.
Approximately 1.34 Billion passenger journeys are made on the ‘Tube’ network each year. The sheer volume of passengers means an incident underground could have significant consequences, so any cable products used in this environment must be LU1-085 compliant. Webro products have been used in many major station refurbishments along the London Underground network, including at Bank station, which when operational is used by over 52 million travellers per year.
We provide a number of copper and fibre options for use in both underground and overground rail projects. Our copper cable range includes H1000, H124 coaxials, for CCTV and platform announcement purposes. We also have a number of twisted pair copper cables for use in telecoms and networking environments, including screened and unscreened Cat6, and S/FTP Cat6a and Cat7 cables. We also have G7623 in stock as part of our range of twisted pair Lu1-085 compliant cables.
Fibre-optic cables are also available in our rail cable range, including both central loose tube and multi loose tube cables suitable for use as fibre backbones.
Held at Birmingham’s NEC from 9th-11th May, Railtex 2017 is the premier event for rail industry professionals this year. So if you’re interested in copper and fibre cables and connectivity products for both overground and underground rail, come and visit Webro at stand W30. It’d be great to see you there!
