Molex splice protectors are reinforced by a stainless steel pin to BS2056 302 S26 specification, thus ensuring the maximum possible protection for the delicate fusion splices. To install, simply slide the protector over the fiber prior to splicing. After completion of the splice, heat shrink it into position to give permanent protection to the splice area.
