What's your role at Webro?
A bit of everything! My main roles are purchasing and technical support, with a little bit of sales and marketing thrown in for good measure.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Firstly, a footballer (who didn’t!) and then a physiotherapist. Clearly I wasn’t smart enough for that so I ended up in cables.
What’s the best thing about working at Webro?
The trust that allows all of us to make the best positive difference we can. The team around provide a great environment to grow and learn whilst taking on board ideas and suggestions.
Any pets?
Yes, two wonderful Maine Coon cats, they are now 15 years old and it’s been a pleasure to share their time.
Favourite sports team?
Watford FC, been a season ticket holder for longer than I can remember. May 1990 at home to Hull City was the first game I can remember attending. It’s not always been easy viewing though!
What 3 words that best describe you?
Hard working, passionate and loyal.
What would you do if you won big on the Lottery?
Pay off the mortgage, have a good holiday and generally enjoy life with my family.
What’s your favourite food?
A juicy Ribeye steak with triple cooked chips, and to finish off, a massive bowl of sticky toffee pudding, now I’m really hungry!
What annoys you more than anything else?
Rudeness, laziness, disrespect, and people who think they are better than others..
What superpower would you like to have?
Invisibility, the ability to turn up anywhere and not be noticed.
What’s your favourite film, and why?
Too hard, too many! Back to the Future, Indianna Jones, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Matrix, Ready Player One, Evil Dead, The Goonies, Gremlins ...I could go on and on.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Gaming, I’m a big gamer and collect as a hobby, I’m sure my family would rather see some of my collection turned into cash!
Who’s your favourite band/singer?
Michael Jackson.
What’s your ‘go to’ karaoke song?
Anyone who knows me well enough will know I don’t participate in Karaoke!
Who would you swap places with for a day, and why?
Shigeru Miyamoto (I’ll leave you all to Google him). To have the ability to design some of the most well-known and loved franchises in the history of gaming would be truly inspiring, I wish I had his creative thinking.
What was your favourite subject at school, and why?
Sport, no question, I loved sport.
Who would be your desert island companion of choice?
Homer Simpson, seriously what could go wrong! Although it would be hilarious!
What’s the best advice that you’ve ever been given?
Be nice to people on your way up because you’ll meet them on your way down.
What's your favourite cable?
I love all cable... it would be unfair to all other cables if I only pick one.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you?
I’ve been in the cable industry for 23 years and had the pleasure of working with and learning from some great people, some of which I still work with today.
