Mental Health First Aider Award

Webro’s Head of Marketing - Chris Mellor-Dolman, has completed the training course and passed the final exams with St John Ambulance to qualify as a Workplace Mental Health First Aider.

Chris will now lead Webro’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Team that includes Mental Health First Responders Shaun Gartlan and Hollie Revell. Their purpose is to provide emotional support to colleagues, being available to talk to the team as a first step to feeling better when they’re anxious, unhappy, lonely, annoyed, under pressure, overwhelmed, or confused.

As Workplace Mental Health First Aiders and First Responders the team are not healthcare professionals, but they’re trained to listen, and to signpost colleagues in need to appropriate support when they need it. It provides a confidential opportunity to talk to someone that they can trust.

Webro firmly believes that every business has a duty of care to look after the mental health and wellbeing of employees. Mental health and wellbeing is relevant for all employees, which means that every member of staff can play a key role in improving wellbeing in the workplace. By addressing mental health issues, businesses can improve the general wellbeing of employees, reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, lower staff turnover, increase productivity, and help promote the employment of those who have experienced mental health problems.

Webro is committed to understanding the many factors that influence the health and wellbeing of staff. Collectively, we’re working together to overcome these issues on an on-going basis to deliver a range of solutions that benefit both colleagues and the wider business.
